Slowly coming together
Jan 8th, 2013 at 8:27pm

We recently purchased what is hopefully our last home.  It is nestled on 5.5 acres in TN and has a 60 year old Cinder Block Dairy barn that is my future shop and hangout.  the building sits 900' from the primary home and will have 200amp single phase primary ran as soon as I wire it and prepare for the rough in inspection.  I had so have new concrete poured in the primary shop section and in a few years will pour a new slab in the secondary section (current floor is on a grade for washing out after the cows, drops 9" in 29')  currently installing 9' ceilings and insulating and preparing for paint and post wiring electrical using EMT conduit.  Final turning studio will be 14'x22' with a 14'x29' storage and milling area.  also will house the new ZTR Mower!!  I will continue to add pictures as progress continues.

Power Complete, Painted the Shop area.  slowly moving in.  I think I am going to be able to have nothing hanging on the walls.  I still have 500sf of storage on the other side.  I am excited to have a dedicated CAVE again.  and my wife is even happier to have her garage back!!!

Is the completed space to the right as you face the front door?  You still have a lot of room left...  NICE!

I'm Jealous. Since I decided to rent out my house and move in with my girlfriend my work shop has been downgraded from an entire 2 car garage to 1/3 of a 3 car garage. Part of me wishes my house was closer so I could just rent it out to myself Wink

I used the french cleat system in my garage at our previous home.  i have a few items that are built with the cleats on them, but I am really liking the clean look with everything stored in cabinets or on shelves.  I will run my DC piping above the electrical conduit and see how much room is left.
