It's never too early to start on Christmas ornaments.
I thought I would show another segmented option. I know some folks don't care for cutting angles, so here is another way to go. Very simple construction with a laminated stripe. There are no angles other than 90 degrees or square.
Ornament is Maple & Koa, 2 7/16" x 6 1/2", 1 5/8 oz. 29 pieces.
The entire stripe, all five layers, is 1/8" wide.

Thanks Walt, I just wanted to remind people that you don't need to do complex math or cut strange angles to achieve a nice piece. Also, there is no excuse for seeing glue lines.  Grin
