It has outlasted a half dozen flip clocks, and 4 or 5 digital clocks. It's in the office, not the bedroom, because it has growled for the last 30 years. Now you know the rest of the story.

Sorry Ron, I have tried all the options I have available. I have tried several browsers with no change. I have cleared the cache with no change, Cache is on all the time.

I do not see any delays like this on any other sites that I visit.
What else can I do at this end?? Your Site home page loads in a flash, but the Forums are where the problems begin.
It appears the forum server is doing a huge amount of work before it send out the page html. Like a Spam filter...
I did some network checks and your IP number shows no delays and the DNS is working ok.

I know, I've been keeping tabs on the server's output and it is working at or better than spec.

That's not the case, if it were true everyone on WR would be having the same problem. Have you checked the spam filters on your system? Do you have some other software/firewall running that could be blocking the forum?

How are you connecting to the forum?
Are you going through a proxy?
Through AOL or Yahoo?

i don't know if this would make much difference, but, how many computers share your internet connection? mine, my wife's, and my stepsons share the connection and when he downloads, pages load real slow. even if i am on alone and am downloading a large file, pages slow to a crawl.

something to think about.

also, computer age. the same page on my computer(6 months old) will load in about 3 seconds, takes anywhere from 15 to 30 seconds on my wife's which is 4 years old.
