Hey guys, how do you affix price tags to your items in a craft show booth?  I want to have price tags that include some details about the item (wood type, and a description) so it will be a bit bigger than just a dot with a $ amount printed on it.

Do you use a string and tape?  Or just sit the price tag underneath the bowl/box/other item?  I'm worried that tape will leave residue. I'm leaning toward having the price tag on the table under the items, but I would have to be sure that people don't put stuff down in the wrong spots.

Let me know your tips for this!

Carrie,  I like to keep my descriptions and the price marking separate.  That way the purchaser can keep the one while throwing away the price tag.  I use a simple sticky dot for marking prices and put them on the bottom.  I use a bit of RenWax before I apply them.  It seems to help them not sticking too much.

I use stickers that are removable without leaving residue from Office Depot on the bottoms. I burn the kind of wood along with my name and date on the bottom. I feel having tags all over the place makes the display looked cluttered plus then I can engage them in conversation about the piece, such as where the wood came from, which I feel helps up the chance of a sale.

No residue removable stickers are available from any of the office supply stores.  I also supply a card with wood and care info separately with the sale.  For pens, I use a long jewelry "barbell" tag, like Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register, that goes around the clip.  There is no adhesive on the center part.  The short ones don't go around the clips of some pens.

Oh, those jewelry tags are great!  They'll work perfectly for some of the items I've been wondering about like my drop spindles.

If I need more info than will fit on that small round circle, I print on 1/2X1 3/4" labels in 2 columns and fold it over the circles.
