My shop, small but it is a start
Nov 6th, 2013 at 8:12am

So the bug got to me.  So I had to figure out where to set up shop.  Other than kicking one of my boys out of their room, it had to be the garage.  It was a little cluttered.  Some shelves and general house keeping resulted in a lot of useable space.  Some lights and I was ready.  When my lathe got to me, I was a little concerned.  I thought this side up meant something, silly me.  Now I am all set up.

Ok ok this is a "BEFORE" picture, now you need to show us the "AFTER" Grin Grin
There is one fatal flaw with this picture, there is no light dusting of wood chips on everything and no ergonomic floor covering,( packed wood chips are a great soft carpet like effect)  Grin Grin
Great shop enjoy.

Congrates John on a new lathe and a good one at that. Looks like you have the makings of a truly great shop. You started with the most important piece your lathe. Next like what has been mentioned the curlies will begin to cover everything and dust will creep into every nook and crany. It will then become a seasoned shop.  Thumbs Up

John,  That is a beauty of a lathe. I think you will love it.  Now get it spinning and show us the results.   Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Nice.   Looking forward to seeing what you create with it.

Great choice in a lathe John. I purchased the same lathe about 6 months ago and am very happy with it. Mine doesn't look much like yours anymore though, it's always covered and surrounded with shavings. Have fun! Thumbs Up
