Hi Jenn, I'm new to the forum...you're my first post. I went to Etsy and searched Rooster Studios and you didn't come up but found you with the link in your post. I've had an Etsy account for years but haven't done anything with it yet....it's on the list for this year. We have a gallery / shop here at the house and have been working to get that up and running. Check out BirchView Barn on Facebook and nicefigurs.com to see what we do. One of our customers suggested we do a Pinterest account with boards that point to the Etsy page so people will know where to go to buy your product. I'm working on that too. I'm not the most tech savvy person, would rather be turning wood but it's a necessary thing these days. I'll "favorite" you, please like us on FB. Same with you Curtis.

I've been thinking about Pininterest but, like you, the amount of time it takes to take good photos, write summaries and post takes a lot of the fun away. A group I am with did Etsy for a year or little more. We had over 50 items in the store. From pens to hollow forms. We sold 3 items. 2 bowls and 1 pen. I know it's all subjective but Etsy is filled with turners that basically give their product away. We tried a lot of low-priced items etc. to stir the market. We also did the paid listings. The only positive was being invited to some nice shows to sell our work.

Glad I saw this post, I was going to ask the same question. I have been thinking about it and researching it, just not sure if it will be worth all the work involved. Question for those of you who are selling on ETSY, is it as easy as they claim it is? Do you do the Direct thingy for credit cards?
