I swear I do work in my shop...
Mar 31st, 2014 at 2:41pm

Here's a photo of my shop. I'm a little OCD so I do a weekly deep clean, this photo is right after all the chips were off the floor. I'm also a minimalist so I try my best to have a clutter free work space at all times. I still need to add a few items such as a bandsaw and maybe a drill press.

I too am "encouraged" to clean my shop.  It is primarily to avoid tracking the curlies into the house ultimately resulting in "greater marital bliss" Smiley .  Sometimes I need reinforcement of that encouragement Smiley.

I'm glad to hear this, I thought you were robbed. Grin
I don't think I'll be seeing that much of my shop floor anytime soon

A few years ago it took me 45 minutes to find my air compressor in my shop. I knew then that it was time to clean it up... It's still a wreck, but it is slowly getting better.

It's just a matter of time until you won't be able to move.

I have determined that it doesn’t matter how often I clean my shop.  It takes the same amount of time no matter how much I have to pick up.  So I make it worth my while and clean up when I have to climb over it to get to my lathe.  That’s my story and I'm sticking to it!

Nice shop!  Mine use to look like that.  Only when I bought the house prior to moving in! Thumbs Up

Truthfully--mine's NEVER that clean.  Shocked  I depend on the shavings to be a big contributor to my "antishock" floor.  I seem to "feel better" when I'm amongst all the shavings-insulation from all the stuff outside in the world.  When I do clean, I use a BIG scoop and a yard cart.   Grin

Everyday liberating nice things from ordinary chunks of wood---and I like gnarly wood, the outcome is nearly always better than the start.
