A Sycamore project- Spalted Fruit bowl

Today I cut a blank from a log I got from our local Tree Trimmer several months back.   Hadn't intended to go to completion--but I did. The bowl is 12 x 4 inches and has a load of "spalting" that makes for interesting patterns in the wood. I finished it with polyurethane.
Did it all after work today----Not bad for a Monday!!

Everyday liberating nice things from ordinary chunks of wood---and I like gnarly wood, the outcome is nearly always better than the start.
