I have the Down & Out on my Jet 1642. I was a little hesitant because of the price but am glad I got it. It is easy to install and use. I turn a lot off the end and it sure beats having to pick it up and find a place to put it. Now that my wife is using the Jet, it makes moving the tail stock off the ways a lot more manageable for her. Well worth the investment.
