It was only a matter of time. I have also seen one that prints metal, using very fine stainless steal.

There's one on the Space Station right now.

Next would be parts for people.

I read a while back that NASA was working on a printer that would print food.  It will be used on long range space travel where normal food either wouldn't last or take up too much space.  It could be printed as needed.  Reminded me of Start Trek's food replicator.

I saw a spot on TV awhile back where a college kid used a 3D printer to make a prosthetic arm for a young boy.  They said that these printers would make it possible for people to get artificial limbs for less than $500.  Really a break through for young people that would outgrow them in a very short period of time.

Now if someone would just print me a new body and download my brain into it.  My kids accuse me of being way ahead of my time accompanied with an eye roll.  Like I told them all the great thinkers were ridiculed for their ideas.
