Very informative - Would like to see same type of video for the other tools. Was the tool rest even with center? What was the speed?

Looked above center and very fast (likely greater than 2500 RPM). Just my guess, but that's how I turn spindles with the skew.

After watching this video I tried this on some turkey call strikers.. Worked pretty good. And yes, I was turning it about 2200. I wood of went faster but was a little Leary about a catch on such a small spindle. But it did cut better the faster it was turning.
