Un-turned Shaving Brush

Of course it's not hard to get involved with other types of turning groups like the Shaving Brush folks. They offered up a challenge this week to make a shaving brush.......just one catch....No Lathes Allowed.

The brush blank is Grey box burl cast with Alumilite resin (red/gold). It's a 3/4" knot of badger hair. The finish on the handle is CA. Drilled, scroll sawn and hand filed and sanded before finishing.

Comments welcomed.

Woodturning requires sharp tools and practice, and practice requires evaluation or little progress will be made. Keep your tools sharp, practice, evaluate your progress, and have fun............Dale L. Nish

I was asked if the brush was user friendly. It's very ergonomic as a matter of fact.
