I haven't been able to do much turning lately. Spring is here and I need to get my new raised garden ready. Wife wanted a trellis so we can have some climbing roses. Still have to make the gate but the trellis is about 99% done. Nothing real special but I think it looks good.

Very nice looking trellis Bill.  Lucky for me my wife doesn't look at this forum.  Grin  Your box garden looks good too.  I started raised bed boxes last year for square foot gardening, and now I wouldn't garden any other way.  This will be the 2nd year that the Troybilt hasn't gotten out of the shed.  Smiley

Looks good Bill,  Thumbs Up I also haven't been doing much (if any) turning. Spring has been here for about a month already. All I've been doing is gardening and landscaping and all the stuff that goes with it.

Thanks guys. The only problem with this build is, IT cost to much. Wood is getting really spendy. I was surprised when I went to goggle images to find something to follow. The one I liked cost $1100 plus delivery. Made myself some money.

I haven't use my Troy Bilt in 5 years. I bought a little Mantis and I love that thing.

Looks great but I notice that your "raised" beds aren't raised high enough!!

My lone raised bed is tall enough that I don't have to bend over one bit to work in it!
I actually have to use a small ladder to get into it to turn it over in the Spring.

Lesson is don't bring yourself down to the dirt, bring the dirt up to you. Smiley Smiley

Good morning guys and thank you. I thought about making them like yours but the cost got prohibitive. I have 9  4x8 beds. I used 4x4 sign posts from one of the local cities. It's required that they are a certain height so if they get broken off the replace. I got almost a 100 of them for nothing. The right cost.

Bill, I ran into the same thing with the Redwood Planter that I posted a while back, if purchased, would have cost about $1200. I'm sure it wouldn't be as heavily built either.
I think my lumber cost was about $75, so if I just keep my overhead and labor under $1100 I'll be okay. Roll Eyes

I'm just finishing the finials on a matching square one that would run in the $600 range, it's getting a bit outrageous.

Thanks Len. The roses are bought but not planted yet. Been raining like crazy here for a few days and it's suppose to be nice until next week. The wife picked out this one. Rosa 'Zephirine Drouhin'

"Rain" is liquid water in the form of droplets that have condensed from atmospheric water vapor and then precipitated—that is, become heavy enough to fall under gravity.   Wink I checked the my rain bucket and it had 5.25 inches in it just from last Saturday and yesterday we had an inch of hail. I see where your governor just put mandatory water restrictions on you guys. I have never seen Shasta that low and that was last spring when we went through there.

Yep, they went out to measure the Sierra snowpack and there wasn't anything to measure.
Mandatory 25% reduction in water use state wide.
I'm on my own well so at least they can't turn the tap off on me.
