Pepper Mill populariity?
Apr 24th, 2015 at 8:03pm

Is anyone having good experience selling pepper mills? I know Jerry from Tuscon isn't. Just wondering.

I've noticed that the mills with something different are selling.  Like Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register.  Or the diagonal glue-ups.  Or spectacularly grained wood.

WOW, Mills must not be very popular. This has been up for a while and only one comment? I like making them but if they won't sell what's the point?

Lee, making salt and peppermills is called "tolerance" practice. Not in tolerating frustrations and such, but in keeping the sizes needed to make them work without being too tight or too sloppy. Also allows for practice at making duplicates without a duplicator....... Jerry (in Tucson)

One persons difficulties to sell wouldn't necessarily deter me. if you have/make a quality product, then you should be able to find a market.
Maybe Tucson just isn't a very food centric city, I don't know
Or like Jim said, maybe they're into themed items or something.
I find the main thing is to know your customer base (as much as one can). AKA market research.
Good luck

That is kind of like the fact that I can't sell stoppers near my home, but on the other side of the valley (Scottsdale), others sell them all the time.  I guess my area is more beer centric and not very wine centric.
