New guy from New York

Hello all!

New turner with an old lathe and lots of questions!

My grandfather left me his old 1930's craftsman when he passed and I'd like to refurbish it and put it to good use.

Finally got it apart today so I could look into taking the pieces to get sand blasted..... now to wait for the company to return my call.

I've also got a few of the tools, but they are in need of a good sharpening.

I do believe I am missing a part for the tail stock, so I will take pictures of everything tomorrow and post up to find out.

Welcome aboard James!  What part of NY are you from?  I'm just north of Buffalo.  We have many great turning clubs in WNY.  If you live in the area, I highly recommend visiting/joining a club.  Clubs in our area are very friendly to new turners.
