I couldn't help but notice that about 1/3 of the calendar submissions for 2016 have been embellished in some way, not counting segmented and items with finials. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

That's true Ron I hadn't noticed it until you mentioned it. Seems to be the direction most of the AAW work they publish is going also. Although,sometimes I can't even tell the work has come off a lathe, to me that is going too far unless you are selling your work successfully. Then more power to them.

Hey Ron, I have to agree. I think that all turners that have been turning between 5 and 10 years start to look at embellishing. Of course AAW magazine pushes the embellishing beyond reality, ie, how did they do that....... Thumbs Up
