Cutting board
Dec 20th, 2015 at 12:02am

My son requested a cutting board for Christmas. They couldn't find one that they liked so they decided to take there chances with Dad. Hard maple, cherry and purple heart. It was suppose to be 1 3/8" thick but I had a router bit break and gouged a 1/4" hole in it so it ended up just over an inch. I added purple heart around the edges to strengthen it. One end has a lip to go up against the counter top. Butcher block mineral oil finish.

That is too nice to hack and chop on!  I would use it as a wall hanging

Thank you Al it was a fun project. It did turn out nice but it is a cutting board so I hope it's used that way.

Thanks Tom. I have just enough material left to make one about 2/3rd the size of this one. The wife said you will make one for me. LOL
