Saw it posted on the Lumberjacks website a couple of days ago.  He said it was made similar to a bowl from a board method.  Wish he would post more info. This is something I would like to try.

This is why I said well done.
Don't bet me wrong, I think it's a great piece but...
IMO
Making segmented pieces with curves is difficult but not as hard as the casual observer might think. I'm sure you've all seen Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register with nothing but curved joints, it was somewhat difficult sure but it's all relative.
Once you actually do it yourself the level of perceived difficulty drops considerably.
If the artist is willing to show his/her methods that would be great.
