Welcome!
Take a look at Woodturner.org and find a club nearby. Most turning clubs have mentoring programs. Nothing will help you progress faster and become a better turner than one on one help from an experienced turner.

Welcome.  Fill in your profile, you might find another member nearby, and most of us are willing to serve as mentors.

Unlikely, i was young, if anyone hasn't looked at my profile yet i would like to inform you i'm only 15. If that's a problem let me know. Though i am young i have learned a lot from my father who has been working with wood his whole life, and i intend to learn more from others so i thought i would join the forum.

You may have seen him when he played Santa.  Age is not a problem. As long as you don't act too juvenile.

Good evening James, I sent you a PM about our local club.  The Detroit Area Woodturners, we meet in Pontiac at the Pontiac Creative Arts Center.  If you live in the Detroit area perhaps you and your dad can come to a meeting.  Check out our web site Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register
Keep turning and stay safe.
