) that I would mess the whole thing up, again
This was my second attempt at the pedestal
, so I decided better safe than sorry. Other than that, I worked really hard to try and get the two pieces to match. I watched one of Cindy Drozda's DVDs and found it to be very helpful in the area of tool technique and in creating the design.
This piece is going to be in an auction for one of the area artists coalition's fundraising galas. I'm hoping it will bring in some good money for the group, and myself, since I do get a percentage of the final sales price
. So last night I took it to an open house that the gallery I'm part of to show the other gallery members. The other members of the gallery really liked it. Several of them commented about how delicate it looked and then added they would be afraid that if they owned it that it would get knocked over and broke
. Hopefully, not everyone will have that fear at the gala's auction.
