I rarely use any kind of paper or layout, partially because standard graph paper with the 1/4" grid is basically useless for a round 3-D object. JMO

You can print out a round graph along with 19 or so other graphs, comes in handy for rare occasions.

Thanks for the website.  Did not know about this. I use graph paper for most of my segmented turning.  Helps me calculate the dimensions of my segments/rings.
