Certainly looks like an option for people with pickup trucks. One minor point, it looked like you ran the lift hook through the middle of a link of your log chain. Might get the hook stuck that way. When you cinched the chain around the log you slid an entire link into the hook, the way I was taught.

I have used a small utility trailer to haul logs up a ramp end gate. But this tool would work excellent attached to the trailer tongue frame. Where did you find it?

Thanks for the comments to all. I got this from Amazon.
Just do a search for "tow hitch crane" and you'll see lots of options. The price seems to fluctuate from day to day, when I bought it, it was $279.00. Had about a hundred bucks in rewards points so that helped.
