Replacing Spindle Bearings Jet 1642
Mar 6th, 2016 at 9:59am

I recently needed to replace the spindle bearings on my Jet 1642. As I searched for information I really didn't find any solid information on the process, so being mechanically inclined I tackled the project. I decided to do a video on the process to help others. It isn't a professional video, however I hope it helps someone tackle this not so difficult project.

I'm going to be reposting the video part one in a couple days as I am adding a bit of new and updated information. I will repost the link once it's up. Thanks Jim

Jim,
First of all, I have to say well done.
I only watched this because I own a 1642 but replacing bearing is not something I concern myself with, (I've replaced too many to count in my time).
I liked the fact that it was done in real time and appreciate that it takes much longer to explain what you're doing as you're doing it. This is probably one of, if not the best videos I've seen which explains all the little things (of which there are many) that many of us with experience do without thinking.
Again, well done  Thumbs Up

Thank you Ed. That was one of my goals. I just couldn't find any good information when it came time to replace the bearings, so I thought about recording the process. I have to thank my granddaughter as she did the camera work.
