Open segment bowl
Mar 22nd, 2016 at 8:12pm

Made a new open segment jig and this is one of the first bowls that I made with it.
Made with yellow heart,Bloodwood, rosewood, wenge and maple finished with wood turners finish.
Haven't used this finish before hoping it will keep the maple from yellowing.
Size is 10 1/2 x 5

Your bowl looks great.  Would like to see a photo of the outside of the bowl.

Rob here is a pic of the jig that I made works really good haven't had any major problems with it so far. The pic has a 48 piece template on not ready to move up to anything bigger yet.
Even with the jig I still have trouble with the first few rows as they are so small and I don't have a computer program so sizing the starting is a bit of a challenge for me.
Thanks for the comments it helps to see what other people think
