Stuart Batty Tools
Apr 11th, 2016 at 8:32am

I have 5 tools available for sale, all new-in-box:
1/8 inch parting tool  ($85 sticker price)
1/2 inch skew ($75 sticker price)
3/4 inch neg rake scraper domed/straight ($95 sticker price)
1.5 inch neg rake scraper skewed ($120 sticker price)
1 inch neg rake scraper domed/straight ($105 sticker price)

I am asking 40% off of the sticker plus shipping.
To use these you need to buy a Stuart Batty handle or an adapter to use your own wooden handle.  Stuart Batty Tools are currently not being manufactured but I have heard that he is close to re-opening.

What size shaft do these tools have? Do they require a Stuart Batty handle or will other brands work?

I am not Mike, but have a couple of these tools.  You will need the SB handle or need to make you own.  They are threaded and screw together.  Woodworkers Emporium has been selling the handles.

Stuart Batty Tools update

This is an update to my previous email from about two months ago, for some reason I could not add a reply to that thread.  I just returned from the Atlanta AAW meeting and Stuart was back in business and was selling his full line of tools, handles, etc. Of my original five tools, I only have the 1/8 inch parting tool and the 1.5 inch negative rake scraper left.   To use these you need to buy a Stuart Batty handle or an adapter to use your own wooden handle. You can view them at Woodworkers Emporium website.  Handles start at around $50 and the adapter is ~$20, if I recall.  The adapter requires a rather thick wooden handle to accept it, at least 2 inches, I would think.
