Had a good show
May 17th, 2016 at 8:28pm

Had a good one day show this week end. I found the ladies really liked my ring and earring boxes turned with a short finial. One can put earrings inside and hang a couple of rings. Sold ten of those and two ring stands, four mills and two bowls. I was the only turner.

Sounds successful and looks like time to replace the sold items. Curiosity though- what  were the dimensions of the bowls that sold ?

Buck, they were eight inch to nine inch. One had inlace. Two different people at different times. My large salad bowls didn't get any handling at all. women loved the ring boxes.

Way to go Lee!!!  Glad you had a good show.  Just out of curiosity what were your price range, if you don't mind me asking?

Lee, can you post pictures of the ring boxes? I'm not clear what they look like from your description, but I think my wife and daughter would both love me to make them each one.

Steve, As this was not a high end show, but a lot of people, I had to keep my prices on the low side. Sixty for bowls, sixty and seventy for mills and my ring boxes were twelve and ring stands seven.

Mark I can't do the pics as I have tried in the past. My ring boxes are about 2 1/2 inside and only 1/34 deep with a friction top. If I have enough length I will turn a finial to hang a ring on or sometimes I add a finial. Sometimes I dish out the top and a ring will fit into it or put everything inside. They are very well received. I can turn them fast and needed something on the low end.
Cheers
