I am turning a piece of NIP for a friend, what is the best finish, I want to achieve a fairly high gloss.
Thank you

Are you wanting to make a translucent item, like the very thin walled table lamp shades?

David,

For a really high gloss I usually go to rattle can Lacquer, several coats and then Beale buff.

Not translucent, will probably finish about 1/4 in. thick.

Thanks Ron, I will remember that, that is a beautiful piece.
