What's your favorite bowl finish? Poly, wax, food grade, Danish oil, something else?

P&L 38 alkyd varnish mixed 50-50 with mineral spirits and used as a wiping varnish.  Use it on everything so fewer cans to go bad, less $ in inventory.

New to turning, but I have found I like danish oil.  After drying, coat with a thinned coat of shellac.  The wife likes the finish, and have already sold a couple of pieces and given some as gifts.  All seem to like the finish.
