Embellished wall sculpture
Aug 8th, 2016 at 11:11pm

This is a wall sculpture that was inspired by the type that Nick Agar does, but with my own twist, that of cutting it apart and then re-attaching the elements to form a different perspective of the orginal turning. Maple 11.5" x 13.5" x 1.5"d, turned, carved, embellished then colored with spirt dye and gloss laquer finish. Enjoy

Eldon,

We should compare notes....

First one connected with sections of a fishing rod... (details hopefully show the silhouettes of the fish and the broken rod tip at the end of the spiral fish "stream")

Second connected with a wrench ..

Hope the details here come thru..

Eldon and Tom... Awesome turnings!  I have enjoyed a number of turnings cut apart and rearranged in a similar manner, but your two turnings are quite different and most pleasing!!!  Different approach to an 'old' technique which is certainly eye catching and unique!  Thanks for sharing and please keep posting your turnings as they are definitely inspiring for 'newbies' like myself!  Safe turning to you both! Thumbs Up
