I have not been turning much this summer due to the high heat, but here is a bowl that I finish yesterday morning,, the mornings are the best for me right now.
this bowl is made up of Padauk,Tiger Wood,and Maple... it has 172 pieces...it measures 7 inches high and 10 inches wide and the finish in done with sanding sealer and four coats of wop

The bottom on this bowl is solid, the base is a 3/4 inch piece of Padauk...there are 16 pieces in each segmented ring..

Gary, nice looking bowl.

I'm not sure why but to me the maple portion looks a bit yellow, it my just be the lighting in the photo.
