Making a zig zag ring

I am working on my first zig zag ring. From what I've been able to learn from articles and videos most folks use the same approach for the first few steps:

- Create the lamination

- Cut the lamination into parallel segments

- Glue the parallel segments into chevrons

At this point, there seem to be several different approaches:

- Glue the chevrons together, cut the set into a strip on the table saw, cut the wedges from this strip at the glue joints between the chevrons

- Glue the chevrons together with newspaper in the glue joint, attach this to a waste board with hot glue or double-sided tape, cut to a strip on the table saw, then snap the segments apart at the temporary joint and then cut to wedges

- No glue between the chevrons, but attach them in to a waste board with double-sided tape, cut to strip on table saw, remove them from the waste board and cut the segments into wedges.

I am sure there are other approaches as well. What do you all recommend?

Thanks!

Tried &True
also safest IMO
It basically takes the same amount of time (maybe less) to glue and cut the entire strip with all the chevrons than it does dealing with newspaper joints, double stick tape or hot glue
