to get better at wood turning and knowledge.  I was in a bombing in the Middle East and 2 years later my VA Dr. and my Wife thought it would be good for me to get a hobby to help my depression.
Please bear with me because I also have 50% brain damage along with all of my body and fender damage so it takes me awhile to figure things out.  I am also pretty slow at understanding things but way better then when I first started at WoodNet in 2009.

I have been turning now for a little over 6 years and now teaching other disabled vets like me for the last 3 years on pen turning.

I am OK at turning but I think I can always get better and better interacting with others.

I live in Council Bluffs, IA and finally made my first trip since 2007 to my Mother and Fathers in Wisconsin.  I am hopping to drive soon and will be looking for a small truck so I can get timber to turn.  I drive my wife nuts but wanting her to stop at all the wood along the road.  Thumbs Up

That is all for now

Thanks Guys

I did see a person here I know and that is Reed Gray who is a wonderful turner and met him at WoodNet 6 years ago.

When I figure out how to post what I turned I will show some of the things I am now selling or hopfully sell.  Smiley

Hello Arlin - Welcome to the site and most of all thank you for your service and best wishes for a full recovery.

No question is too trivial and if you don't understand the answers - ask again. We are all here to help.
