Maple and walnut, 181 pieces. Made a few mistakes following my plan, but they became design opportunities. If i had to do it over, i might not have three bands of maple in the middle. It seemed like a good idea at the time!

Side view not so much, for the reason you point out. Having said that, I will be ecstatic if my first effort at a fully segmented bowl comes out as nice. Seems a single row might have looked less discontinuous to my eye.
