A New Miter Calibration Jig from Rockler

I've been turning for just over a year now and have been thinking about attempting a segmented bowl.

Rockler just came out with this Calibration tool for setting the miter gauge on a table saw.

I was wondering if you guys might have any thoughts on how well it would work.

It still assumes there is no play between miter slot and miter. I think it might be better to put money toward a nice miter gauge.

Any quality miter gauge will work. I prefer these because there are positive stops for repeatability.
