Props to Robo Hippy and chainsaws
Nov 10th, 2016 at 1:23pm

Just had to say I watched Robo-Hippy's video for chainsawing bowl blanks and it helped me out quite a lot. The information is basic but the details made my blanks come out great.

I have been slabbing my own lumber recently and have a bunch of large Oak and Cherry logs I wanted to turn. Usually I just hack chunks off without planning. His video helped me think more about what is in the log as opposed to just cutting.

My 20" Echo made it easy also! That's 3 chainsaws I own now... my neighbors might be concerned. Cheesy
More to come!

Glad they helped. I don't follow all safety guidelines, and have received some flack for it. This is a tool that you should have some help with learning to use it. If you have three, then you probably have had some experience. From an Australian woodworker:

Anything with sharp teeth eats meat. Woodworking tools have sharp teeth. People are made out of meat......
