Glenn, if you use the search feature with the keyword stabilizing, you get plenty of results.
There is plenty of discussion on chambers, vacuum pumps, etc

Another thing, when using Alumilite, be sure the wood is DRY. That's DRY!! Alumilite does not like any moisture. It will foam at any provacation. Also, the air supply wants a dryer on it.

I did search and yes there are a few about stabilizing etc. but what i would like to here is has anyone stablized a pine cone or bark and aded to a chunk of wood to create a bowl, or had problems with certain woods, to much oil, etc. and pics of peoples work doing this method. Will keep searching, maybe not getting right parameters.

Glenn, do it and you will be glad you did. I started down that road and now rarely turn wood. I make boxes and mills with resin and chuck in some dry Cherry and it's outstanding. Buy your resin in the gallon size for the best cost otherwise each piece is too high. I do some stabilizing.   I like burly looking Cherry in my mills. Get on U-Tube.
Good luck
