Looks like it would work better with an eccentric chuck and a couple of rare earth magnets to hold the propane bottle to the chuck.

I did this out of a Rutabaga for my weight management group.
It was an assignment to make something with Rutabaga.
I don't think they had this in mind.  Cheesy
I turned a snowman out of something like a huge potato.
I think I'll do a Cindy Drozda cauliflower for my next class.

Doesn't matter! That chicken chased oswald all around the shop, pecking at his tail.  His goose is cooked.

I use my lathe to wind new line on my fishing reels.
I grab the spool in my chuck, tie the new line on, and use the variable speed to wind the line on.
Works without twisting the line, but I need to rig up a line tensioning system of some sort.  Now I run it around the toolrest some kind of way. It is a system in progress.
