This is the largest platter that I have turned.  It is 19"W x 3"H.  It has been dipped in a blend of oils and Beall buffed.  C&C welcomed.

Steve, I like the platter, well done. Thumbs Up

If I may give one small critique, lose the cheap plastic plate holder.
This detracts from the piece, you're better off placing something behind the piece to hold it in position.

Steve,

Very nice,  Thumbs Up and I like the finish - the right amount of shine.  For a thorough review, I think you should mail it to me  Wink

The lighting and photo provide a neat optical illusion, at first glance the inner portion looked domed, then upon closer review it is conventional dish shaped.
Nice work and neat photography.

Tom and Ralph, I really appreciate your willingness to do further C&C for me.  I am always grateful for those that make suggestions that allow me to improve my skills.  However, after checking with the USPS, they do not a have flat rate box large enough to ship the platter.  But in an effort to accommodate this opportunity to grow, if one of you could send me a program that will allow me to take a 3D scan of the platter, I would gladly send you the file of the scanned platter so that you can reproduce it with a 3D printer.  This will allow you to keep your copy of the platter for as long as it is necessary to critique the work.  Looking forward to receiving the necessary program.

Steve, how durable is your blended oil finish? I do fine art shows and wonder how it would look after being handled a few dozen times. Beautiful work.

Jeff, the blend is equal parts of BLO, Danish Oil and WOP.  I have found this finish to be very durable.  The carbuba wax finish is what does not last with use and washings.
