Cleaning a Beal Buffing Wheel- It can be done!

For all of you wondering how to clean your Beal, you can do it. I sprayed mine with some citrus cleaner, let it soak a bit, and then threw it in the washing machine (with some old shop towels). warm/hot water and Tide. Clean and soft again! I was going to let it air dry, but my wife threw the load into the dryer. Came out perfect. This was the one with the red compound.  Do not forget to remove the arbor!
This works great for the buffing wheels, but do not try it on the small balls designed for inside work. They are not sewn together. You will have a hundred or so little discs of cloth to reassemble!

Powermatic 3520: more awesome!
Shopsmith Mark 7: Wonderful! (But I don't use it as a lathe yet)
