I got some anchor seal classic today for end sealing logs. I have an idea to end coat the ends of my exotic 4/4 and 8/4 lumber in garage where humidity changes wit seasons. Will i have to cut away what i end seal when i go to use. Does it discolor and ruin the ends ?

I've never had a problem with it.  It doesn't really soak into the wood, more of a wax coating on the surface.  Unlikely you would use the last 1/4" of a piece of wood anyway...I would think.

Yes, you have to cut off the ends, but just a quarter to a half inch,
Glue, finish or paint wouldn't stick to it well either, though I haven't tried it.

Think of melted wax poured on the wood.
