Hello New Turner here

Hello from Texas
Long time woodworker, but new to turning. My only experience was watching videos for about a year and Ive been to a couple of demos. I had a uncle who was a turner who gave me all his old tools and after a bunch of research I purchased a Laguna Revo 18/36, 220v. Ive had it about a week and am having a blast on it. Anyways I just wanted to introduce myself, enjoying the forum so far.

Welcome from North Texas! Don't worry about asking questions, it's how we learn. When you get ready to purchase any equipment, I suggest you ask about it here before dropping the $$$. Let our experiences give you suggestions.

Welcome from just down the road a piece!
If you're interested there's a club that meets in Victoria-1st Saturday of the month--great bunch!
Nice lathe--I have a Laguna that was just before the Revo's came out--was too good a deal to pass.
Otherwise look forward to meeting some time.

Thanks for the Welcomes Smiley
David I live out in the country north of La Grange, so its really a drive for me to go to any turning clubs. Id love to get involved in one but the between the drive and my work schedule its really not possible. I really like the Laguna so far and having alot of fun on it. I do have an uncle who has come by to give me pointers, so thats helped alot.
