I have a battery operated saw I've used on small stuff, a corded saw I used on medium stuff, but for big stuff, I open the garage door to the shop and crank up the gas saw.  My shop is 30x30, though so there's a lot of room there for fumes to disperse.

Husqvarna makes a good electric chainsaw with a 16" bar.  It is very useful in a the wood shop.  Good power, does not bog down.

Husquavarna and Stihl both make good electric corded chain saws. You have to let the saws cut at their own pace rather than push them. You can horse the gas saws more... I haven tried one of the battery/cordless ones yet, and probably won't even get one because the cord is more reliable. Other than that, if I have to cut inside, I have a big bandsaw, 16HD Laguna with a 4.5 hp motor on it.... Pretty much quit using the electric saw after that...

You may want to consider this one. The video is from The Family Handyman magazine.

I've had the Stihl MS200 for the past 3 years and it has worked flawlessly.  I use it to cut anything inside the shop. Not only are there no fumes, but it is easier to make detailed cuts.  The only caution is that it is not cheap.

my worx 303.1 is corded.     I may have used to small extension cord,  maybe that burned the brushes.  But that's all the damage it did,   Brushed aren't available any where .  Found a site called bargain brushes.  May have to buy over size brushes and sand them down.

Rick,

I remember back in the fifties, before the interwebs, my father would take a "D" cell battery, split it open and take the carbon core out and make brushes out of them. Might give it a try.

I have the larger Worx corded saw and am pleased with how it cuts (when I don't feel like using the gas powered saws.)  Chainsaws I use for processing--getting the blanks to thickness and having at least one flat side.  To get the rounds, I use my bandsaw(s).

Everyday liberating nice things from ordinary chunks of wood---and I like gnarly wood, the outcome is nearly always better than the start.

My brother in law bought a craftsman electric one for me and it has been working very good for the last 4 years.

On electric saws sometimes the leak where the chain oiler is lubing the chain so lay it on the other side.  Some are better at not leaking then others.  Mine leaked for a few months and then stopped for some reason but it still oils the chain very well
