My shop is 30x30, though so there's a lot of room there for fumes to disperse.

Husquavarna and Stihl both make good electric corded chain saws. You have to let the saws cut at their own pace rather than push them. You can horse the gas saws more... I haven tried one of the battery/cordless ones yet, and probably won't even get one because the cord is more reliable. Other than that, if I have to cut inside, I have a big bandsaw, 16HD Laguna with a 4.5 hp motor on it.... Pretty much quit using the electric saw after that...

I use it to cut anything inside the shop. Not only are there no fumes, but it is easier to make detailed cuts. The only caution is that it is not cheap.

I may have used to small extension cord, maybe that burned the brushes. But that's all the damage it did, Brushed aren't available any where . Found a site called bargain brushes. May have to buy over size brushes and sand them down.

Might give it a try.

Chainsaws I use for processing--getting the blanks to thickness and having at least one flat side. To get the rounds, I use my bandsaw(s).

My brother in law bought a craftsman electric one for me and it has been working very good for the last 4 years.

On electric saws sometimes the leak where the chain oiler is lubing the chain so lay it on the other side. Some are better at not leaking then others. Mine leaked for a few months and then stopped for some reason but it still oils the chain very well
