Home Garden Garlic picked
Jul 25th, 2017 at 9:16am

I know we have Forum members who have a garden for their household so for some interest as we all live in different geographical areas I thought I'd post a picture of my Garlic that I pulled this morning.
The Garlic is a German Hardy of which I planted just after Halloween and covered with a bale of Straw from our outdoor Fall display. I spent about $10.00 for the Bulbs to use for planting but in the past have used the larger of the harvested Bulbs for planting also. This is a representation of a good harvest and after a drying time I'll be glad to have some of this Garlic in my breakfast potatoes.

Your right Ralph, my Bell Peppers are on a 3 year slump and next year it is no Peppers and double the Garlic. Here's a close-up showing the partial harvest making it look like more garlic.

Looks good - right now we have green beans, cucumbers and summer squash with the sweet corn just beginning to pollinate. Sorry - no pics at the moment.

Seems my crop of skunks are ready for harvesting.. based on how intensely horrible it smelled last nite!!!
Around 1AM it filled the house and no amount of Fabreeze will neutralize it, trust me!

It only smelled like lavender scented skunk.

It wasn't till after 3AM that i finally got back to sleep!

LOVE garlic, HATE skunk! Shocked

..and, yes it does look like alot more garlic there!! Grin Thumbs Up

Nicely done Ed, last two years I didn't plant onions but being self taught on them I found I got nice size bulbs when I planted them very shallow as the result was a good size bulb above ground with strong roots in the ground.

Thanks, we're still learning a little about onions ourselves. Our soil is still in need of some improvement, so we planted several different kinds to see which was best suited. This is about 1/4 of our onions I think.

LOML went out this morning and came back with about 10 pounds of hot peppers.
Bowls range from5"-11" inside diameter.
This is about half of what was picked.
