Building a Treadle Lathe
Aug 12th, 2017 at 6:13pm

There is a hand-tool craftsman who calls himself Mr. Chickadee and he's made a cabin and workshop with traditiona tools and concepts from scratch.  This is one of his newer videos where he makes his own treadle lathe.

You're welcome Ed...and thanks for the handle suggestion, it's much appreciated.

I don't know if you seen any of the other videos in this guy's channel, but without commentary or music they're quite relaxing.  It's also fun to see someone demonstrate that old hand tools aren't necessarily a ton of human work when sharpened and used correctly.

I have seen a few of his videos and they are relaxing. He has some old tools that I've only seen in books, it's great to see them in actual use.
