Hi I have talked about getting a lathe for pen turning only
something with variable speed. But I want something portable
I was looking at the grizzly 10x18 and also the pennstate
penpal.I will only be using this lathe for pens only.the penpal
seems to have good reviews, does anyone have one?this lathe
is more portable, because i have not much space in my shop.
I do have alraedy a nova 1624.Thanks

Anthony, I saw a small VS lathe today on a site. It was on sale for 199.00, Now I can't remember where it was, or what brand it was. It was a #1MT on both ends, but for pens that wouldn't make much difference. The little lathe I turn pens on, is a #1MT also, I have chucks and lots of other #1MT tools to use
on it.

Yes the Penpal is also 1MT.What I really like about it is you could throw it under your arm and go.199.00 is what i paid at PSI.
