New hollowing rig

I finally got everything done with the new hollowing system.  Went over to a friends last night and he welded up the base for me.  Pictured is with a 1/2" hollowing bar.  I have another end piece that is bored to hold a 5/8".   I followed Vaughn McMillan's instructions (in the Tips section here) on making an Oland tool.   I have a couple of fine tunings to make but it works slick.  I wish I had done this long ago.

Looks good.  Should save your shoulders quite a bit of vibration.  All you need to do now is add a setup for a laser or a video camera to help you determine the wall thickness. Can't wait to see your results with the new tool.

Steve, I have the laser set up (birthday gift from the wife). I just hadn't installed it for this box.  I wanted to use it on an open form so I could see & get the feel for how it cuts.
