A few things,
What are you drilling with?
Where do you want the holes?

A basic jig usually has a bracket of some kind that holds either a hand drill or router motor. These are usually set to drill at spindle height.
Do a google image search for "router jig for lathe" and you'll see many configurations that should get you started.

+1 on Ed's comment. Also, Oneway makes a drilling jig. Since you prefer to make one, you may be able to use it as a "template" for a Allan-made version.

My experience with receiving private messages (PM's) is that a notifying message to me pops up before I can even look at new forum posts.

Tks, Don. I don't get a pop up so I didn't know it was a feature. I wasn't sure how else to get Allan's attention. I've deleted the post, since Allan has contacted me.
