Hello from Tasmania

Finally have time to get involved in the forums I've been reading for years. I have been turning for over 25 years and always found that it was best to learn from others who shared the passion. I am just beginning to work with some of the timbers other forum members have been working with for years. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing how other turners see my work and learn from the collective experience. I will be posting pictures of some of my pieces soon so please feel free to dive in and give your honest opinion.

Are you using an axe as a Skew?  Need to hear more!  Welcome aboard and don't be afraid to ask questions or give useful opinions.

Yes Glen it is an axe. . . . It's something I do to show new turning students the importance of a correctly sharpened tool. . . . . It can be a good way to get things started when you'redoing a demo. . . . . . . It does a good job too!
