Turning Suggestions Needed

I have 8 of these pieces and can get many more free. Looking for suggestions on what to turn with them, either as a single piece or laminated together. Some are solid and some are 2 layers already laminated. All are a little over 1 1/2" thick and sanded both sides. The largest diameter that would fit is just over 9". Sawing 1 1/2 squares with the grain would produce 10 1/4" max. Cross grain could be up to 16". They are all cutouts from flying V guitars. My limited experience gives me a few ideas but hoping you guys can suggest something unusual. Thanks much, Geo.

Well, Maybe you could run them though a thickness planer, glue em up, and make a goblet, bowl, Christmas ornament, candle sticks, boxes, urn, bats, pepper mills, anything round. Haven't made anything square yet, but I'm sure the pros have! ......

I'd be tempted to glue a waste block on the bottom and turn a tenon on it then turn a shallow bowl in the center.  Then I'd sand the edges on the belt sander.  Would make some interesting bowls.

The wood ranges from solid African mahogany and maple to laminated mahogany and some type of figured maple. Even walnut. Wondering how the laminated pieces would look as shallow 8" bowls? or possibly a 2 toned peppermill? Thanks for the suggestions, Geo.

Turn, turn, turn.  At the least you have lot of practice wood. You get to try different woods to see how they turn and finish at no cost.  Some yo will like and some not so much.
