Love  walnut. Beautiful work. Do you sign after applying the finish?

How do you solve the pore and tear out issues? I'm trying the suggestions from a previous thread, but you may offer a "second opinion".

Thanks guys, Glenn I usually sign w/ pyrography before finishing but you can still do it after I'll just sand the bottom center first then add more finish.
